Scholarship Parameters: The Butterfly Effect Scholarship

The Butterfly Effect Scholarship offers a one-time award that can be utilized by any student accepted or enrolled in a higher learning institution. This includes institutions such as community colleges, universities, vocational schools, continuing education programs, and career training programs.

This one-time award may not cover all expenses; however, selected recipients can apply it toward tuition, fees, books, supplies, or other required equipment at their educational institution. It is our sincere hope that it makes a positive difference in supporting your educational journey.

 

Eligibility & Academic Requirements:

 

Applicant must:

1. Provide proof of acceptance or enrollment to a higher learning institution at the time of application.

2. Complete the online scholarship application.

3. Submit a short video or written essay.

4. Complete the media and photography release.

 

Application Deadlines & Notices:

• Scholarship applications will open on May 7th at 12:01 AM and must be submitted by June 7th at 11:59 PM.

• Scholarship recipients will receive notification of their award status on June 15th, including the specified amount.

• All submitted entries will undergo a review. While we appreciate every applicant, please note that not all submissions will result in an award.

 

Short Video (Under 2 min) or One-Page Essay Template:

1. Introduction:

   • Who You Are: Briefly introduce yourself.

   • What You Are Pursuing and Goals: Mention your educational pursuits (e.g., college, major) and your academic or career goals.

2. Your WHY:

   • Explain why education is important to you.

   • Share any personal experiences or motivations that drive you to succeed.

3. How This Scholarship Will Make a Meaningful Difference:

   • Connect your aspirations to the scholarship.

   • Highlight how financial support will impact your educational journey.

   • Emphasize how it aligns with V’s Heart mission of inspiring impactful change by bridging gaps for families.

• Preferred Submission: A video (under 2 minutes).  Alternatively, you can choose to submit a one-page essay. Feel free to select the format that best suits you!  Remember to speak or write from the heart and convey your passion!

After preparing your acceptance or enrollment document and recording your video or writing your essay, follow these steps:

• Complete the Online Application

• Upload Your Video or Essay

• Upload Your Proof of Acceptance or Enrollment

• Complete the Photography & Media Release

• Provide Signatures (if under 18) a parent must sign as well. 

• Submit Your Entry

• You should receive a "Thanks For Submitting" response.
